Senior QA Engineer

Fuse (https://www.fusefinance.com/) is a high-growth New York City startup revolutionizing financial services infrastructure through an innovative low-code tool. Backed by top-tier venture capital, the company is creating a transformative self-service platform for configuration, integration, and automation in financial technology.

We are seeking a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer to establish and drive our testing strategy across our low-code financial services platform. This role requires an experienced QA leader who can build a robust testing framework from the ground up, implement comprehensive automated testing solutions, and build a high-performing QA team.

• Architect and implement a comprehensive testing strategy encompassing unit, integration, and end-to-end testing

• Design and maintain automated test frameworks using TypeScript and modern testing tools

• Establish testing standards, best practices, and documentation for the engineering organization

• Build and lead a QA team, including hiring, mentoring, and professional development

• Collaborate with development teams to integrate testing into the development lifecycle

• Implement test automation for our low-code platform, ensuring quality across configurable components

• Design and maintain continuous integration pipelines for automated testing

• Create and maintain testing environments that mirror production scenarios

• Develop metrics and reporting systems to track testing coverage and effectiveness

• Work closely with product and development teams to understand requirements and ensure quality standards

• 6+ years of experience in QA automation with TypeScript

• Extensive experience designing and implementing end-to-end testing frameworks

• Strong background in integration testing methodologies

• Leadership experience in building and managing QA teams

• Deep understanding of testing principles and methodologies

• Experience with test automation frameworks such as:

  • Cypress

  • Playwright

  • Jest

  • Testing Library

• Strong knowledge of continuous integration and deployment practices

• Experience testing complex web applications and distributed systems

• Experience with visual regression testing

• Knowledge of performance testing methodologies

• Familiarity with financial services domain

• Experience with API testing frameworks

• Understanding of security testing principles

• Experience with cloud testing environments (AWS)

• Background in testing microservices architectures

• Understanding of low-code platforms and their unique testing challenges

• Primary Testing Language: TypeScript
